If you’re considering getting your EB5 green card through Houston EB5 you no doubt have some questions, the most important of which is time. You know it might take a while, but how long is a while? And how much time does each individual step take?
If these questions sound familiar, we understand. It’s always a good idea to have a rough time frame so you’re not wondering when the next step is. Below, we’re going to go through each step of the EB5 Green Card process and how long they should take.
We effectively guide investors seeing a secure path and peace of mind to a permanent residency by providing opportunities to co-invest in award-winning landmark project with successful returns.
STEP 1: Contact Houston EB5
The first step in the EB5 visa program is to contact us and fill out Houston EB5’s investor questionnaire. Once that is complete we will schedule a meeting to discuss your situation further and give you an in-depth outline of the EB5 process, our regional center, and our current EB5 investment opportunities.
We have many EB5 projects to choose from. Some of our fully funded projects have already helped several investors get their I-526 Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur and I-829 Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status applications approved.
STEP 2: RECEIVE A CONDITIONAL GREEN CARD
In this next step, Houston EB5 will help you fill out your I-526 form. This is the form that proves your investment meets all the requirements of the EB5 visa.
For a quick refresh the requirements are:
- The investment funds are being invested in a new commercial enterprise.
- The investment capital was earned through lawful means.
- At least 10 full-time jobs will be created.
- Proof that your investment is in a Targeted Employment Area if you’ve only invested $500,000.
Houston EB-5 has a 100% success rate on I-526 and I-829 petition approvals and return on capital.
Houston EB5 will help you with the investment part of your journey while an attorney will help with the legal side. The attorney we provide get all your documents in order for your I-526 application. Once you receive your conditional green card can enjoy the same benefits as other lawful permanent residents. These benefits include traveling around the world without needing a Visa to return to the U.S. and discounts on college tuition.

It’s important to note that your conditional green card is only valid for two years. You must fill out your I-829 application 90 days prior to the expiration of your conditional green card.
STEP 3: APPLY FOR YOUR PERMANENT GREEN CARD
Here Houston EB5 will help you fill out and file your I-829 application to remove your conditional status. At this point, Houston EB5 will provide proof that your investment did in-fact create 10 full-time jobs.
Upon your I-829 is approval your conditions will be removed from your green card and is then permanent.
You can apply for citizenship after five years of being a permanent resident.
